Clash between terrorists and security forces in Balochistan, 73 killed

38 civilians were killed in terrorist attacks in several districts of Balochistan, Pakistan. 21 terrorists and 14 members of the security forces and law enforcement agencies (LEA) were killed in the military’s counter-operation. Many others were injured.

These murders happened between Sunday night and Monday morning.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and Pakistan Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the casualties on Monday. Dawn’s news.

Terrorists attacked police stations in Balochistan province’s Mastung, Kalat, Pasni, and Sunsar districts on Sunday night. Terrorists set off explosions and grenade attacks in the provincial capital Quetta, along with Sibi, Panjgur, Mastung, Turbat and Bela. Terrorists attacked Sunsar police station in Gwadar district of the province and looted weapons.

Musakhail District Assistant Commissioner Najib Kakar said that armed men stopped many passenger cars, vans and trucks on Inter-Pradesh Highway in Rorasham area on Sunday night. From these vehicles, gunmen selectively killed 23 Punjabis. The highway connects Punjab and Balochistan.

A separatist group called the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack. It was the deadliest terrorist attack in the province in the last few years. Besides the BLA, many other armed groups are active there.

A joint operation led by the Pakistan Army was launched in response to the terrorist attack. 21 terrorists were killed. 14 members of security forces and law enforcement agencies lost their lives.
