Pakistan reiterates support to Saudi ground forces

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to strengthen their defense cooperation efforts. Pakistan’s army chief on Friday reiterated his army’s continued support for the Royal Saudi ground force’s capacity building.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said this in a statement.

Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir gave the assurance during a meeting with Saudi Assistant Defense Minister Major General Talal bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi at his headquarters in Rawalpindi.

The meeting discussed matters of mutual interest including defense production and military training.

The Saudi Arabian dignitary visiting Pakistan acknowledged the achievements and sacrifices of the Pakistan Army against terrorism and its valuable contribution to regional peace and stability.

The Saudi Assistant Defense Minister also participated in the fifth Pakistan-Saudi Arab defense cooperation meeting at the Pakistan Army Headquarters. where he attended a meeting with the Chief of General Staff of the Pakistan Army as Vice-President.

The media wing of the military said, “The forum discussed global and regional security challenges and their impact on the defense forces. The forum noted that the rapid advancement of modern technology requires defense industry cooperation in key areas between the two brotherly nations.
