12 more murder cases have been filed against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in different parts of the country including the capital Dhaka in connection with the killing of students in the anti-discrimination student movement. Dhaka: 6 murder cases have been filed against Sheikh Hasina, including 1 in Demra, 2 in Mohammadpur, 1 in Mirpur, and 2 in Jatrabari in connection with the deaths during the agitation. The court has directed the concerned police station to take all the 6 cases as evidence. Khorshed Alam Mia filed a case against 92 people accused of murdering Miraj Hossain in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Belal Hossain. The court accepted the statement of the plaintiff and directed the Demra police to take it as evidence. Apart from Sheikh Hasina, the notable accused in this case include Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Chowdhury Abdullah-Al-Mamun, Habibur Rahman, Harun-or-Rashid and Biplab Kumar Sarkar.

Apart from Sheikh Hasina, the notable accused in this case include sister Sheikh Rehana, son Sajib Wazed Joy, Obaidul Quader, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Fazle Noor Tapas and Fazle Shams Parash.
Dhaka North: Three murder cases have been filed in the name of Sheikh Hasina and 1,39 people in connection with the death of three students including Abdul Qayyum, Mithu alias Maruf in Savar. Kulchum, the mother of the deceased student, filed a case at Savar Model Police Station on Monday night. In this case, 69 people have been named and 150 unknown people have been accused. Another slain student’s father, Shahajan Islam, filed a case naming 131 people.

Bagha (Rajshahi): In Bagha, a case has been registered in two cases including Sheikh Hasina with the names of 165 people. Another 120-180 people have been made unknown accused in this case. District Chhatra Dal convenor Salauddin Ahmed Shamim Sarkar and Chhatra Dal activist Zahid Hasan filed two cases as plaintiffs on Monday night. In Shamim government’s case, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, former MP of Rajshahi-6 (Bagha-Charghat) Constituency, 24 people have been named and 20-30 others have been made accused. Bagha police station OC Abu Siddique said two complaints have been registered as cases. Efforts are on to arrest the accused.
Gouripur (Mymensingh): Another case was registered on Tuesday in the case of 3 people killed in Kaltapara market of Gouripur upazila on Mymensingh-Kishorganj highway. In this case, Sheikh Hasina, her sister Sheikh Rehana, Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former MP of Mymensingh-3 Gouripur Advocate Nilufar Anjum Popi, former MP of Mymensingh-4 Sadar Mohit ur Rahman, besides 97 names, 200-300 anonymous people have been named.
