There are not enough facilities in the jail, Imran complained in a letter

Imprisoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has alleged that jails are not providing adequate facilities as per the law. Also, the former prime minister urged President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to ensure proper jail facilities.

Imran made this call through a letter written by his lawyer Azhar Siddiqui on Saturday.

Azhar Siddiqui, head of the country’s Judicial Activism Panel, said the letter alleged that the PTI chief was not being provided with facilities mandated by law and was not being allowed to meet his well-wishers.

In the letter, the question has been raised, why are people being prevented from meeting Imran Khan? It also emphasized the need to provide basic facilities to him in prison. If these conditions are not met, the former prime minister will take the matter to the high court, the lawyer said.

Imran Khan expressed his lack of confidence in the country’s Chief Justice (CJP) Qazi Faiz Isa while appearing in court on Friday. At this time, Imran Khan also announced his intention to go on hunger strike. He said, “I will discuss with my lawyers and announce the final date of the hunger strike.”

On the same day, the jailed PTI founder announced that his party would attend an all-party meeting of the Shehbaz Sharif government.

“My party will participate in the all-party conference and listen to what the government has to say,” Imran Khan told reporters from Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.

The PTI founder warned that anti-terror measures would further destabilize the country.

The new military campaign that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s government is talking about has been named ‘Azam-e-Istehkam’. The common meaning of this word in Urdu is stability The country’s authorities have not confirmed how long this military operation will last.

The jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan stood against it before the start of the military operation. Last week, Imran said that he was against military operations in the North-West and South-West regions However, Imran said that he will participate in the Shehbaz Sharif government’s all-party meeting about this campaign.
