15 directions of total non-cooperation in Bangladesh; Don't pay taxes, office factories are closed

The anti-discrimination student movement has called for ‘total non-cooperation’ movement in Bangladesh from today. Asif Mahmud, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, gave 15-point instructions to the students to observe the non-cooperation movement, including not paying any kind of tax. He gave this instruction from the anti-discrimination student movement rally at Central Shahid Minar on Saturday afternoon.

Coordinator Asif Mahmud appealed to the countrymen to make the non-cooperation movement a success. He gave 15-point instructions to the freedom-loving students for the non-cooperation movement. These are – No citizen of Bangladesh will pay any kind of tax or rent from today. Any kind of bill including electricity bill, gas bill, water bill will not be paid. All public and private institutions, offices, courts and factories will remain closed. None of you go to office, go to collect salary at the end of the month. Educational institutions will remain closed indefinitely. Expatriates shall not send any kind of remittance to the country through banking channels. All kinds of government meetings, seminars, events will be boycotted. Port workers do not join the work! Do not redeem any product. No factory in the country will work, garment worker siblings will not go to work!

Stating that the public transport will be closed, he said, public transport will be closed until the fall of this government, no workers will go to work. Banks will remain open for urgent personal transactions next Sunday and the first day of every week. The bank will be closed on the rest of the working days of the week. Policemen shall not go on any kind of protocol duty, riot duty and protest duty other than routine duty. Only the police station will do the routine work of the police station. Forces other than BGB and Navy will not perform duty outside the cantonment. BGB and Navy will be in barracks and coastal areas. Bureaucrats will not go to the secretariat, DC or upazila officials will not go to their respective offices. All offshore transactions will be closed so that not a single rupee is smuggled out of the country. Luxury stores, showrooms, shops, hotels, motels, restaurants will remain closed.

Referring to the non-cooperation movement, he said that hospitals, pharmacies, emergency transport services such as transport of medicines and medical equipment, ambulance services, fire services, mass media, transportation of daily necessities, emergency internet services, emergency relief assistance and officials working in this sector- Employee transport services will continue. Referring to the direction, coordinator Asif Mahmud said, I am calling on the people of the whole country to make the non-cooperation movement a success to bring down this murderous government. You will call all your neighbors to follow the programs of non-cooperation movement and take responsibility for its implementation.
