About 3,000 videos of women being sexually assaulted by a Member of Parliament (MP) in India have been leaked on social media. And in this, the country’s political field has become more heated in the Lok Sabha elections.
It is known that the accused MP’s name is Projjbal Revanna. He is the grandson of former Indian Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and the current Member of Parliament from Hassan constituency in Karnataka state and candidate of Janata Dal (JDS) in the upcoming elections. However, when these videos of sex scandals came to light, he was expelled from the party by JDS, BJP’s ally in Karnataka state.
According to news media NDTV, Projjwal himself recorded these videos of sexually assaulting women. He used to blackmail them by making videos. However, during the elections, those torture videos were spread across the state.
Earlier, a woman filed a case against Projjwal with the police station accusing her of sexual harassment. After filing this case, Projjal’s sex scandal came to the fore. The woman alleged that Projjwal sexually assaulted her multiple times from 2019 to 2022. Even Projjwal did not leave his daughter. He misbehaved with her too. Besides, the woman alleged that Projjal’s father HD Revanna also sexually abused her when his wife was not at home. HD Revanna is the MP for Holnarsipur.
However, Projjwal denied these allegations. He claims that all the videos are manipulated. However, despite such a claim, this 33-year-old MP has already left India and moved to Germany.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka state government has formed a special investigation team as soon as the issue of sex scandal came to light. This committee can order Projjal to return to the country.
However, no one else exposed this sex scandal of Projjal. The name of BJP is also involved with this. The driver of Projjbal handed over 2,976 sexual assault videos to party leader Holenarcipura’s former BJP MLA Devaraj Gowda. In 2023, Devaraj lost the election with Projjbal’s father.
