Six people were killed in a suicide bomb attack on a convoy of Chinese engineers working on a dam project in Pakistan. Five Chinese engineers and a Pakistani driver were among the dead.
The attack took place in Besham city of Shangla on Tuesday. Malakand Deputy Inspector General of Police confirmed this information. News agency Reuters reported this news.
Police said the attackers attacked a vehicle carrying Chinese nationals with an explosive-laden car. Moreover, the driver carrying the Chinese was killed while being treated at the hospital.
The police officer said that the Chinese engineers – who were going to Dasu camp from Islamabad. Dasu area has been attacked before. In 2021, 13 people including 9 Chinese nationals were killed in a bus explosion.
