A suicide attack took place on Monday in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. The spokesman of the country’s Ministry of Interior confirmed that 6 people were killed and 13 injured.
The explosion occurred in the southwestern area of Darul Aman in Kabul city. So far no one has claimed responsibility for the attack. The police termed the explosion as a ‘suicide attack’.
Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran said in a post on X, “This afternoon, a person wearing explosives detonated the blast.” Unfortunately, six civilians, including a woman, were killed and 13 others injured in the incident.
It should be noted that violence has decreased after the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan in 2021. However, Daesh Khorasan is active in Afghanistan. The group often targets civilians, foreigners and Taliban officials with gun and bomb attacks.
