Seven security personnel were killed and two others injured in two separate militant attacks in North Waziristan district of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The two attacks took place on Saturday in Hasan Khel area of Datta Khel tehsil of the district and border area of Mir Ali town. News from Pakistani media Dawn.
According to the Dawn report, the first attack took place in Hasan Khale. A bomb blast targeted the bomb disposal unit of the security forces there. After the blast, the militants opened fire on the security forces.
As a result, five members of the security forces were killed on the spot and two others were seriously injured.
In another incident, militants attacked a security post in the border area. Two members of the security forces were killed in their attack here.
The bodies of the slain security personnel and the injured were taken to Bannu Military Hospital by helicopter.
After the attack, security forces cordoned off both the places and launched a search operation in the area.
