Seven soldiers and 23 terrorists were killed in three separate operations by security forces in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the sources of the Inter-Army Public Relations Department, the operation was carried out on May 26 and 27.
On May 26, the first operation was conducted in Hasankhel area of Peshawar district based on intelligence information. Six terrorists were killed there. However, two soldiers named Captain Hussain Jahangir and Habildar Shafiqullah were martyred in the operation.
Six more terrorists were arrested in the operation and several hideouts were destroyed.
On May 27, troops killed 10 more terrorists in another operation in KP’s Tank district.
According to the ISPR statement, the third operation was conducted in Bagh area of Khyber district. Seven terrorists were killed by the security forces there. Two more soldiers were injured.
However, five soldiers were martyred in the fierce firefight. They are- Lance Naik Syed Danish Afkar (30), resident of Kahuta district, Lance Naik Syed Danish Afkar (30), Sepoy Taimur Malik (32), resident of Laiah district, Sepoy Nadir Saghir (22), resident of Bagh district and Sepoy Muhammad Yasin, resident of Khushab district.
