In the press conference, the Prime Minister said that Yunus did not do Grameen Bank, he used to work. When former President Hussain Muhammad Ershad formed Grameen Bank, Dr. Yunus was given a job. Grameen Bank was created during Ershad Sahib’s tenure. Then an MD was sought. Yunus was made MD. Not his own bank. He used to work and collect salary. Statutory body of Govt. Referring to Grameenphone, the Prime Minister said, I gave Grameenphone business to him (Yunus). Because the bank was losing money. My government, I myself help him by giving 400 crores to Grameen Bank. He then talked about the phone business. Whether he gave Grameenphone money to Grameen Bank or not, he should be questioned. Many donations have come, how much money has gone to the bank?
