Did Rahul Gandhi and Kamala Harris really talk on the phone?

US Vice President Kamala Harris and Leader of the Opposition in India’s Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, spoke on the phone – social media is buzzing. According to various reports, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Kamala Harris had a telephone conversation on Thursday (July 11) evening.

If Biden withdraws from the next US presidential election, there is a strong possibility that Kamala Harris will be the candidate. However, US President Joe Biden has firmly stated that he is not withdrawing from the election and will defeat Republican rival Trump in the next election.

After the news of the telephonic conversation between Rahul Gandhi and Kamala Harris came to light, many Congress supporters expressed excitement. Some people have called it positive by claiming that Rahul’s international reach is increasing. But many have claimed that this is nothing. Kamala may have congratulated Rahul for being the leader of India’s opposition.

But why this debate? Because Kamala’s conversation with Rahul has been dismissed from the office of the Vice President of the United States. It has been clarified that this news is false and baseless. A Jaishtha officer from Kamala’s office said in a tweet,

This news about the US Vice President is wrong. Kamala Harris did not speak to Rahul Gandhi on the phone.

Meanwhile, the Congress neither confirmed nor denied the rumors about Rahul-Kamala’s telephone conversation on social media.

But Rahul Gandhi is significant in US elections; Concerns about fake news are increasing due to the spread of such controversies by Congress allies on social media.

According to a report in the New York Times, Kamala Harris of Indian origin is actively considering the possibility of contesting the presidential election and is also discussing possible names of those who can be her running mate.
