The chief advisor of the interim government of Bangladesh has been included in the list of 500 most influential Muslim figures in the world. Muhammad Yunus. He is at the 50th position in that list.

The list has been published by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center (RISSC) based in Amman, the capital of Jordan. The organization has been publishing this list every year since 2009.

King Abdullah II of Jordan is on the first place in this list. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is in the eighth position. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is in 12th position.

The list titled ‘The Muslim 500: The World’s Most Influential Muslims’ features individuals who have made profound contributions in various fields ranging from religious thought and political leadership to art and culture and have significantly influenced the Muslim community at home and abroad.

This year’s list was prepared in collaboration with the Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University in the US.
