Nepalese youth record for climbing the world's 14 highest peaks at a young age

18-year-old Nepalese mountaineer Nima Rinji Sherpa is the youngest person to conquer all 14 peaks at least 8,000 meters high.

Nima Rinji Sherpa reached the 8,27 meter high (26,335 ft) Shisha Pangma peak in Tibet on Wednesday morning. Through this, his campaign is fulfilled.

Nima Rinji’s father Tashi Sherpa told AFP news agency, “She reached the summit this morning. He trained very well and I was confident of his success.’

Nima Rinji Sherpa started climbing at the age of 16. He climbed to the top of Mount Manaslu in August 2022.

In June this year, he climbed Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world. It was his 13th eight-thousander climb.

The mountaineers of Nepal’s ‘Sherpa’ tribe are considered to be the pioneers of the mountaineering industry centered around the Himalayas.

Conquering the world’s 14 ‘eight thousand’ peaks is considered one of the greatest achievements in mountaineering.

To achieve this goal, climbers have to cross numerous ‘death zones’. The air in these places does not contain enough oxygen for human survival.

Another Nepali mountaineer achieved this feat at the age of 30. In 2019, Mingma Giabu ‘David’ Sherpa held the record for the youngest person to achieve this feat.
