Modi has never read the Constitution: Rahul
The country’s opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has taken a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue of the Constitution during the assembly elections in the important state of Maharashtra.
On Thursday, Rahul accused the BJP and Narendra Modi of disrespecting the Constitution and the national symbol of the country.
At a recent event, Prime Minister Modi commented that the ‘red book’ that Rahul Gandhi is presenting is nothing but a blank page.
Responding to this statement, Rahul Gandhi said that the Prime Minister considers this book blank because he does not feel the need to read it and has never read it. The attitude of not respecting the Constitution has been reflected in BJP’s politics time and again.
Rahul Gandhi claimed that the BJP is repeatedly opposing the Constitution and trying to weaken the democratic structure of the country. He said that the BJP does not give importance to the Constitution, they are repeatedly taking steps that are weakening our Constitution and the foundation of democracy. The Constitution is not just a book; it is a symbol of our rights and freedoms.
Rahul further alleged that the BJP is insulting the national symbols and ideals. They have failed to respect various national symbols of the country. They are distorting history and using national symbols and great personalities for their own benefit.
After this incident, the Congress led by the BJP has intensified its campaign against the BJP. Congress leaders say that the BJP has failed to respect the country’s tradition, history and constitution. They claim that the BJP under the leadership of Modi has adopted a dictatorial attitude, which is harmful to the country’s democracy.
The Congress supported Rahul Gandhi’s comments and said that the constitution is a sacred document for the country and it is the responsibility of all citizens to respect it.
The Congress claimed that the BJP’s comments are against the core ideals of the constitution. After Rahul Gandhi’s allegation, the BJP also launched a strong criticism at the Congress.
BJP leaders claimed that the Congress has always created obstacles in the way of the country’s progress and is trying to achieve its own interests in the name of protecting the constitution.
A BJP spokesperson said that the constitution is nothing but a political tool for the Congress. Even when they were in power, they failed to respect the constitution.
