Although India's statement includes Bangladesh, the United States has a different statement

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden had a phone conversation recently. Both the countries issued separate statements after that.

The issues that were discussed between the two leaders, which included the Bangladesh issue, can be found in the statement issued by India. But it was not in the statement given by the United States.

India’s foreign ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal was asked about this in the weekly briefing.

Randhir Jaiswal said the two leaders had “detailed discussions” on the recent political changes in the neighboring country.

His explanation for the differences in the statements of the two countries, measuring every word in the statements issued after the phone conversation between the two leaders, was not issued with the views of the two countries.

He also said that the absence of any mention of an issue in the statement of one side does not mean that the issue was not discussed. However, he commented that a country can highlight the issues that are important to them. – BBC
