The media claims that the attack happened due to the spread of misinformation in India about the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government in Bangladesh and its aftermath.

It is reported that on Friday, an organization called Hindu Raksha Dal (HRD) attacked and vandalized slums near Guldhar railway station in Madhuban Bapudham Thana area of ​​Ghaziabad, allegedly with the intention of attacking Bangladeshis. A group of 15/20 people set fire to the slum ignoring police intervention. Marking the name and identity of Muslims started beating.

In this regard, a Ghaziabad police official said on Saturday that the two main accused HRD team chief Bhupendra Tomar alias Pinki Chowdhury and Badal alias Hari Om have been arrested.

Accepting the responsibility of the incident, Pinki Chowdhury said, ‘HRD members were involved in this incident with me. We take full responsibility for the attack. We also know that an FIR has been registered by the police and we have a copy.’

He said, ‘Hindus are being persecuted in Bangladesh, the whole world is silent. We ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take measures to stop persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh within 24 hours.

But according to Ghaziabad police, none of those who were attacked are Bangladeshis, they are residents of Shahjahanpur. An FIR has been filed in the name of Pinky Chowdhury and others in this incident.

Meanwhile, several Bengali workers living in Odisha, India, were beaten on suspicion of being Bangladeshis. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee called Mohan Charan Majhi, Chief Minister of that state, in this incident. On the phone, the Chief Minister of Odisha assured that such incidents will not be repeated in the future.

In a video that has gone viral, a man can be seen beating up a vendor selling Monohari items on a bicycle. The seller is directed to show his Aadhaar card. Beating is going on for not being able to show Aadhaar card.

Anandabazar quoting Nabanna sources said that some Bengali workers living in the state of Odisha are facing harassment after the turbulent situation in Bangladesh came to light. They were also accused of beating them on suspicion of being Bangladeshis. Mamata called Odisha’s BJP Chief Minister Majhi after getting information about such a situation. The Chief Minister of West Bengal requested to take action in this regard.

According to the news, through Odisha government, Mamata urged those floating workers to return to West Bengal and work in this state.
