Bangladesh-Thailand will work to deal with the Rohingya crisis

Bangladesh Foreign Minister said that the two countries have expressed interest in working together to deal with the crisis as many Rohingya refugees have fled from Myanmar and taken refuge in Thailand as well as in Bangladesh. Hasan Mahmud.

On Friday (April 26), Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s bilateral meeting with Thai Prime Minister Shretha Thavisin at the press conference. Hasan said this.

He said that there was a bilateral meeting with Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina and Thailand’s Prime Minister Shretha Thavisin in a very sincere atmosphere. First they talk privately. A bilateral meeting was held after this. Various issues including Rohingya were discussed in the meeting.

The Foreign Minister said, “The two Prime Ministers have expressed great interest in strengthening our friendly relations with Thailand.” Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina described the development progress of Bangladesh and urged Thai investors to invest in the 100 economic zones and IT villages being built in Bangladesh.

He said that the Prime Minister also said to make a special economic zone for the businessmen of that country if necessary.

Hasan Mahmud said that the Thai Prime Minister has also expressed interest in strengthening relations with Bangladesh. The two Prime Ministers have expressed interest in making the relationship between the two countries more multi-dimensional and broad.

He said, Thai investors have been invited to invest in Bangladesh.

The foreign minister said that many Rohingyas fled from Myanmar and took refuge in Thailand like Bangladesh. Both countries have expressed interest in working together to deal with this crisis.

He said, 3 MoUs on energy, customs and tourism and 1 agreement for visa waiver have been signed between the two countries. Apart from this, a letter of intent has been signed.
