China-Pakistan statement on Kashmir, what India said

China and Pakistan have issued a joint statement on Jammu and Kashmir. The Ministry of External Affairs of India has strongly condemned this.

According to the report, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited China from June 4 to 8. He met Chinese President Xi Jinping at this time. A joint statement was then issued on behalf of the two countries.

It is said that the top leaders of the two countries discussed the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor SIPEC. This corridor is located in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. Pakistan has informed China in detail about the current situation in Jammu and Kashmir. In response, China urged to resolve the crisis.

On Thursday, India’s Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “The joint statement of China and Pakistan on June 7, 2024 made an unjustified reference to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.” We categorically reject such references.’

He said, ‘Our position on this issue is consistent and well known to the concerned parties. The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and the Union Territory of Ladakh were, are and will remain an integral part of India. No other country has a position there.

Pakistan’s dire economic crisis is partly blamed on the ‘Chinese debt trap’. Sri Lanka is also affected by this.
