After Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made serious complaints about Congress’ election manifesto. He alleged that Congress will implement Sharia law in the country if it comes to power.
Indian media NDTV reported that Yogi Adityanath made this complaint at an election rally in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday (April 23).
Yogi Adityanath said that Congress and its allies have betrayed the people of the country. They have published false manifestos to the countrymen.
Referring to the election manifesto of the Congress, the BJP leader said, if you look at the manifesto of the Congress, you will see that if they win this election and form the government, they will implement Sharia law in the country.
Throwing a question to the audience present at the rally, the Chief Minister said, you say, will this country be governed by the constitution made by Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar or Sharia law?
He also said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said in the election rally that the Congress had included redistribution of people’s property in its manifesto. They will implement ‘personal laws’. That means Shariah law will be implemented as Modiji has stopped the practice of triple talaq.
The Chief Minister also said that they (Congress) have said that they will bring back personal laws. That means they will implement Sharia law…,.
On Sunday (April 21), Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accused of making anti-Muslim remarks at a BJP election rally in Bansbara, Rajasthan state.
In the public meeting, Modi attacked the main opposition party Indian National Congress (INC) against Muslims. He said that if the Congress comes to power, the wealth of the country will be distributed among the Muslims. They will take away the family gold and silver of Hindus, even the sacred Mangalsutra worn around the neck of married women.
In that comment, Modi directly mentioned the word Muslim. He also uses two words and phrases ‘infiltrators’ and ‘those who bear many children’. With these two words, BJP leaders usually refer to the Muslim community.
Addressing the BJP workers and supporters present at the public meeting, Modi said that when they (Congress) were in power, they said that Muslims were prioritized over wealth. They will collect all your wealth and distribute it among those who have more children. They will distribute to intruders.
