Cyclone Remal: 10 international flights cancelled from Dhaka airport

Ten international flights from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport have been cancelled due to the impact of Cyclone Remal and adverse weather conditions.

Besides, the schedule of two flights was disrupted.

Meanwhile, a flight returned after departure.

Besides, the passengers of three flights have been shifted to different flights.

Executive Director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Group Captain Md Kamrul Islam gave this information on Monday.

He said 10 flights were cancelled due to inclement weather and there were cases of return and schedule collapse.

Kamrul Islam said that among the cancelled flights were Vistara Airlines’ Delhi and Mumbai flights, IndiGo’s Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai, Air India’s Delhi and Jazeera Airways’ two flights to Kuwait.

China Eastern Airlines flights to Kunming and Malaysian Airlines flights to Kuala Lumpur were delayed due to weather.

He also said that a Novoair flight from Dhaka to Chittagong failed to land after flying for two hours and returned to Dhaka.
