Imran compared Shahbaz Sharif with Yahya Khan
Imprisoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan has compared the current situation in Pakistan with the country’s former military ruler Yahya Khan. He severely criticized the ruling coalition and various government institutions and said that all the institutions of the country are being ‘destroyed’.
Condemning the crackdown by law enforcement agencies on his political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan termed the current government as ‘Yahia Khan Part-2’.
In a post on social media X, Imran Khan said, ‘The country is currently facing the rule of dictator Yahya Khan. (General) Yahya Khan led the campaign against the largest political party in the country. Yahya Khan Part-2 is doing the same and destroying the institutions of the country.’
After that he severely criticized the current ruling coalition of the country by calling it ‘Yahia Khan Part-2’. Imran Khan said Yahya Khan part-II broker caretaker government gifted crores of land and illegal NOC (No Objection Certificate) to Judge Humayun Dilawar; So that I am convicted and sentenced. As a result I was sentenced to prison. The judge was even instructed three hours before delivering the verdict against Bushra (Khan).
Yahya Khan was a Pakistani military officer. He served as the third President of Pakistan from 1969 to 1971. He also served as the Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Army from 1966 to 1971. During his rule, the then East Pakistan and Bangladesh gained independence through a long bloody war of 9 months.
In the post given on X, Imran Khan also complained that Qazi Faiz Isa’s term has been extended. Because he is ‘protecting from accountability’ those involved in human rights violations and election rigging.
He said, there is no justification to call Shahbaz Sharif as Prime Minister. Because he is merely a ‘tout’ and all his decisions require approval from the army.
The jailed former prime minister said, who knows, this tout may be forcibly disappeared tomorrow. Criticizing the current economic situation of Pakistan, Imran Khan said that Singapore is investing more than Pakistan. Foreign investment comes only when the rule of law is ensured in the country.
He said investors have brought billions of dollars into Singapore. Singapore is a country with less population than Karachi. And despite being the fifth most populous country in the world, Pakistan has received the lowest foreign investment in history. That’s less than a billion dollars. Dollar investments are made only in countries where the rule of law is guaranteed.
Former Pakistani cricket star and politician Imran Khan is currently imprisoned in Adiala Jail after being convicted in multiple cases. Even from prison, he constantly posted on social media X on various topics. The Central Investigation Agency of the country has started an investigation on a post made by him recently. The post accused him of anti-state conspiracy.
