Imran Khan gave the reason for canceling the rally
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan called for a rally on September 8. He changed his mind and said that the rally was not held at the announced time to avoid violence like last May 9.
Imran Khan gave this information to mediapersons after hearing a corruption case in Adiala Jail.
Earlier, Ataullah Tarar, Minister of Information and Broadcasting of the country’s current government, indicated that permission for the assembly may not be granted. On Monday, he said, “I don’t think the opposition will be allowed to hold the rally.”
In an event on Geo News, the minister said, “I don’t believe they will get permission for the rally considering the past.”
Earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister’s information advisor Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said that Imran Khan has decided to hold a rally in the central capital on August 22. The reason for this is to show strength after a long break.
Moreover, at the beginning of this month, Imran Khan claimed that the government led by Muslim League Nawaz has only two months left in power. Imprisoned Imran Khan made this prediction on August 8.
