Imran Khan in fear of a new case two days after getting bail!

Two days after former prime minister and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan was granted bail in the Saifa case, Rana Sanaullah, political and public affairs advisor of the former prime minister of the party, said that there are plans to file a new case against Imran Khan in the coming days.

On Wednesday, the former advisor Sanaullah said this apprehension while speaking on Geo News program ‘Capital Talk’.

He said questions were raised about the former prime minister’s expected bail and release in other cases on the basis of benefit of doubt after the Islamabad High Court verdict. A senior leader of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) categorically replied that the PTI founder’s release was not dependent on the verdict in his Iddat case. He conceded that an accused would be given equal treatment under the laws of Pakistan.

Sanaullah said, we can look back without creating doubt. Which I have seen in the case of Iddat and Saifa. According to him, the Iddat case is being termed as a personal matter of a political leader. But public figures have nothing personal. The former home minister said that Imran Khan was nominated in those cases where they confessed to the crime.

In response to another question about the new case, Sanaullah admitted that a new case will be filed in the coming days. Pointing to the former prime minister’s controversial X post, he hinted that a case could be filed on the video.

Last week, the anti-cyber crime team of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) began investigating the much-discussed post.

The post said, every Pakistani should study Hamud ur Rahman Commission report and know who is the real traitor General Yahya Khan or Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

He reiterated that the PTI founder had led the country to a dead end from which only two alternatives were left. One is the democratic way, which is resolved through dialogue and the other is conflict.

He said there is no chance for PTI to choose confrontation.

Politico emphasized that the Democratic parties never ruled out dialogue, but there was no response from the former ruling party.
