The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), under the Government of India’s initiative, reaffirms its commitment to Afghan students by announcing 1000 scholarships for the academic year 2024-2025.
According to the report, these scholarships are designed for online undergraduate and postgraduate programs through the e-Vidya Bharati Network Project.
The “Special Scholarship Scheme for Afghan Nationals” covers various disciplines, including Business Administration, Commerce, Computer Science, Arts, and more. This initiative aims to support Afghan students pursuing higher education opportunities at prestigious Indian Central & State Universities/Institutes.
Eligibility: To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be Afghan nationals;
Have an age between 18 and 35 years as of July 1, 2024;
Possess adequate English language proficiency;
candidates must meet the academic prerequisites set by the respective Indian universities/institutes for the desired program.
The application process begins on 18th July 2024 through the iLearn portal (www.iLearn.gov.in). Interested students should complete their applications online by 24th July 2024. Applicants must refer to the program/course catalogue available on the tele-education portal to make informed choices.
