Indian plane bombed in mid-air, makes emergency landing in Turkey

An Indian plane made an emergency landing at Vistara Airlines in Turkey due to a bomb threat. At that time there were 247 passengers in the plane.

The Vistara plane landed at Erzurum airport, Turkey’s state-run news agency TRT reported. While the plane was in mid-air, an unidentified person called and said it had a bomb.

After the emergency landing, the aircraft was completely evacuated and searched for the bomb. It was traveling from Mumbai, India to Frankfurt, Germany.

Flight UK27 from Mumbai to Frankfurt landed safely at Erzurum airport in Turkey on Friday due to security reasons, Vistara Airlines said in a post on micro-blogging site X.

Erzurum Governor Mustafa Siftasi Tarkis told news agency Anadolu News that Erzurum’s airspace had been closed. The bomb disposal unit is investigating the presence of a bomb on the plane.
