Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal read the message sent by him in jail. She read out the message sent by her husband at a large gathering at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan today. News from NDTV.
The rally was attended by other leaders of the opposition Bharat Bloc including Rahul Gandhi, Uddhav Thackeray, Mehbooba Mufti and Mallikarjun Kharg.
In the speech of the gathering, Sunita said, “People of India are with Arvind Kejriwal.” He cannot be kept in jail forever.’
Quoting her husband’s message from jail, Sunita further said, ‘I am not asking for votes from you. I’m not asking you to help someone defeat an election. I am only asking 1.4 billion Indians to help us take this country forward.’
Sunita also supported the anti-Bharat Bloc in the speech. He said, it is not India in name only. It is in our hearts.’
Kejriwal’s wife then read out the six guarantees sent by her husband.
In this message he said, first of all; There will be no power cut across the country. Secondly, electricity will be provided free of cost to the poor across the country. Thirdly, every village will have a good school where children from all walks of life will get quality education. Fourth, every village will have a Mohalla clinic, and every district will have a government multi-specialty hospital. Fifth, according to the Swaminathan report, farmers will get better minimum support prices. Sixth, we will end the years of unfair treatment of the people of Delhi. And the people of Delhi will get statehood. ‘
He also mentioned in the speech that all these guarantees will be fulfilled within the next five years.
