Mamata’s ‘thank you’ to Modi

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was hospitalized after falling while walking home. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, wishing Mamata a speedy recovery as soon as he got the news.

In response to Modi’s tweet, Mamata said ‘thank you’. On his X handle, he wrote, ‘Grateful Prime Minister Narendra Modiji for your prayers and good wishes. Thank you.’

After the news spread on Thursday, apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, political figures including Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wished Mamata a speedy recovery. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin sent messages wishing for recovery. BJP state president Sukant Majumder, CPM state secretary Mohammad Salim and state Congress president Adhir Chowdhury have sent messages wishing him a speedy recovery.

Mamata suffered serious injuries on her forehead and nose after falling at her home in Kalighat on Thursday. In the evening he was admitted to Woodburn Ward of SSKM Hospital. Bleeding stopped after a total of four stitches. Three stitches on the forehead and one on the nose. After the treatment, Mamata Banerjee returned home.

According to the hospital authorities, the chief minister told a group of doctors after arriving at the hospital that he fell down after feeling a push from behind. According to sources, the CT scan report showed that there was no bleeding in the brain, but there was a severe shock.
