Abdulla Shahid (O.D.R.I), the Minister of Foreign Affairs attended a coronation breakfast on Friday representing the Maldives on behalf of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. This event was held for Small Island Developing States (SIDS), International Development Partners, and International Organisations.
The breakfast, hosted at Lancaster House, London, was held to mark the U.K. Government’s commitment to a successful 4th International Conference on SIDS in 2024. The SIDS breakfast held as part of King Charles III’s coronation celebrations was attended by representatives from various countries and international organisations.
President Ibrahim Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed are currently on an official visit to the U.K. to attend the coronation ceremony of His Majesty, King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Consort Camilla, which will take place at Westminster Abbey on May 6, 2023.
