Modi will meditate at Kanyakumari after the election campaign

The last phase of voting in India is on Saturday after one phase after another. Today Thursday is the last day of that campaign. This is why Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meditate at Kanyakumari this evening.

Twice before this, he went on a spiritual tour after campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections. Kedarnath went after campaigning for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. In 2019, he went to Pratapgarh Fort in Maharashtra. This time he will go to South India.

Vivekananda traveled all over the country and came to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu. He meditated for three days sitting on a rock 500 meters from the mainland. It is where the Bay of Bengal, Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea meet. It is believed that Vivekananda became enlightened there.

According to Hinduism, the rock is where Parvati did penance for Shiva. Parvati’s footprints are also on that rock. That rock – Modi will sit in meditation at ‘Dhyamandapam’.

The last phase of Lok Sabha polls will be held on Saturday. Voting in 57 constituencies in eight states and Union Territories was held that day. Modi’s center Varanasi is voting in that phase. Bihar, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha and Chandigarh are voting. 9 constituencies of the state — Kolkata North, Kolkata South, Jadavpur, Jayanagar, Basirhat, Barasat, Mathurapur, Diamond Harbor and Dum Dum are voting on Saturday. Today the focus will be on the last day of polling across the country.
