Nepal expands cross-border trade routes as the cabinet approves an amendment to the Nepal-India Transit Treaty 2023, allowing rail-based import of all types of goods to Biratnagar and Bhairahawa via the Biratnagar and Sunauli ICPs. Previously, such rail cargo access was limited to the Birgunj ICP.
