The police revealed the main reason behind the death of 121 people in the stampede in Uttar Pradesh

The police has released an investigation report on the death of over a hundred people in the stampede at Bhole Baba’s satsang in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, India. They say that such a situation has arisen due to mismanagement.

NDTV reported this information in a report on Tuesday (July 9).

Last week, 121 people were trampled to death at a religious event called Satsang organized by Bhole Baba in Hathras. Ever since that incident, the anger of some of the residents of Hathors was forgotten on the father. Bricks and stones are also being thrown at his posters. The local administration started investigating the incident.

The inquiry report was submitted to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday. Where stated, permission was given to hold satsangs without checking the venue.

According to reports, he did not visit the site before giving permission for the ‘satsang’. He did not even inform his superiors about the matter.

After submitting the report, six senior officials of the local administration have been suspended.

The investigation report was prepared under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Police Additional DG (Agra) Anupam Kulshrestha and Aligarh Divisional Commissioner Chaitra V. Members of the police investigation team spoke to 128 eyewitnesses and police personnel who were present on the day of the accident. Based on that, the report has been prepared.

The report given by the police clearly states that the stampede happened in Hathor due to overcrowding. The organizers told the police that 80 thousand devotees will be present at the Satsang. But on the day of the accident, two and a half lakh people were present there.
