Sabrina’s journey with disadvantaged children

Sabrina Enayet has been doing exemplary work in educating women and children of the capital. She is teaching English to street children and their families in sidewalks, slums and shanty settlements. Sabrina, a teacher of Bangladesh International School, Mohakhali DOHS. has been doing this in different areas of the capital for past 8 years. The purpose is to teach English fairly well with elementary education so that these poor children can build a better future, can choose a good livelihood. Thanks to this admirable initiative of Sabrina Enayet. Several private development agencies of the city have collaborated in her road side education.

Sabrina’s English education has also started at the Zoom Bangladesh Foundation’s Zoom Bangladesh School. She is regularly teaching English to 55 children of Zoom Bangladesh School in Hatirjheel of the capital. This enterprising woman has also given English education materials to these children on her own initiative. Her English teaching techniques are also innovative and are well accepted by the children. She is teaching these playful street children. not only with the book but with fun and educational activities.

Sabrina is not only teaching English but also working for the health protection and right of the women deprived of education in the slums. She Said that she got the motivation for such humanitarian works from her family as well as her job in school. Unfortunately, some local fanatics create continuous hindrance to her educational endeavors and social works in the slums and their neighborhoods. She was insulted and humiliated many a times in performing her social works against all odds. Yet she never lost her motivation. Sabrina Hope volunteers will come forward in Dhaka city with the road-side education program in the day to come. she strongly feels that neglected and deprived children will have a better future from these educational program.
