Shahbaz's party accepted all the demands of PPP

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has formed a coalition government in Pakistan with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). And so they have to stay in power by sharing all the powers with the PPP. As part of that, PML-N accepted several demands of the party.

According to sources, the government will give preference to PPP in the development fund and administrative posts in Punjab.

PPP leaders Pervez Ashraf, Ali Haider Geelani, Nadeem Afzal Chan and Hasan Murtaza participated in the discussion. And PML-N was represented by Punjab Assembly Speaker Ahmed Khan, Rana Sanaullah and Khawaja Saad Rafique.

According to sources, PML-N has accepted PPP’s demands regarding district administration, appointment of law officers, representation in various boards and authorities, holding early local government elections, distribution of equal amount of development funds to PML-N legislators.

According to sources, 12 districts including Multan, Muzaffargarh, Rahim Yar Khan, Rawalpindi and Rajanpur have been mentioned. Related sources said that PPP will be consulted in the appointment of district officers in these areas.

The negotiators said the PPP delegation will present a report of all their discussions to Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari tomorrow and the PML-N delegation will present their report to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

If they agree, a written agreement will be signed and implemented, they said.
