Sheikh Hasina and others are attending Modi's swearing-in ceremony

BJP did not get majority in Indian Lok Sabha elections. But NDA is forming the government with the support of other partners. The alliance wants to move forward with Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister. In that case, Modi is going to become the Prime Minister for the third time in a row. Many world leaders are also attending his swearing-in ceremony.

Narendra Modi is scheduled to take oath as the Prime Minister next Saturday (June 8). Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe will be present in this event. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to both of them over the phone on Wednesday (June 5).

President Ranil Wickremesinghe has been invited, the Sri Lankan government said. He accepted the invitation. Meanwhile, Narendra Modi also spoke with Sheikh Hasina. He congratulated NDA for this victory.

On the other hand, the Prime Ministers of Bhutan, Nepal and Maldives may also be invited, Indian media said. But will Pakistan be invited? The question arises.

The government of Pakistan is repeatedly giving messages to restore relations with India. So it’s no surprise if a top Pakistani leader is invited to Modi’s swearing-in ceremony. In 2014, Narendra Modi invited Nawaz Sharif to his first swearing-in ceremony.

Besides, the process of inviting the state leaders of more neighboring countries is underway.
