The instructions for the election of Speaker of the Lok Sabha are given by the President

Narendra Modi’s BJP won 240 seats in the Lok Sabha elections. With which his party could not form the government alone as before. However, due to the addition of 53 seats of the partner parties, the NDA government has been formed in India.

Although the coalition government has been formed under the leadership of Modi, now only one question has started to arise in the alleys of the national politics of India. That is – who will be the Speaker of the Lok Sabha?

Because the BJP government has not been formed this time. NDA is the ruling government in India. So the partner parties have demanded for that important post in Lok Sabha.

That is why President Draupadi Murmu issued a notification to fix the Speaker of the 18th Lok Sabha on Thursday. He asked to elect the Speaker of the Lok Sabha by June 26. And this is now being vigorously practiced everywhere in Indian politics.

Meanwhile, the monsoon session of the Parliament of India is going to start from July 22. According to Indian media sources, the monsoon session will start from July 22 and may continue till August 9. The NDA government will present the full budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 during this session.

However, the central government has not officially announced anything about when this budget will be presented. However, the budget is expected to be presented in July.

Meanwhile, nothing final has been announced about the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. So far Om Birlai has served as Speaker of the Lok Sabha elected by the Modi government. This time also he was elected member of parliament. He won from Kota seat. So Om Birlai is expected to continue as Speaker.

However, the post has been claimed by Chandrababu Naidu’s party. As a result, it is known that a tug-of-war situation has developed.

So now it’s time to see whether Om Birla can become Speaker in Modi’s third term government.

Meanwhile, on June 12, Nirmala Sitharaman got the charge of Finance Minister for the third time. Nirmalai will be India’s first finance minister to present the budget for the seventh time in a row. It is very important to have a speaker in that budget session.

It also remains to be seen if the new Speaker is confirmed on June 26 as per President Draupadi Murmu’s order.

In this regard, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju recently said that the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha will begin from June 24. And it will end on July 3. The Speaker of the Lok Sabha will be elected in a 9-day special session. And on June 27, President Draupadi Murmu will address the joint meeting of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
