The United States is in contact with India on the issue of Bangladesh

The United States is in regular contact with India regarding the ongoing situation in Bangladesh. US State Department Deputy Spokesman Vedanta Patel said this information.

In a briefing on Wednesday, he said, “We have continued to communicate with our Indian partners and other countries in the region regarding the latest developments in Bangladesh.” I am not going into personal diplomatic discussions on this issue now. However, we want to continue to press for an end to violence in Bangladesh, as well as the establishment of accountability and respect for the rule of law.

A journalist said in the briefing that two US Congress members of Indian origin have sent separate letters to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken calling for intervention and assistance in protecting the lives and property of the Hindu community in Bangladesh.

The journalist wants to know whether he has received that letter or not, whether he is taking any action on this issue or not.

In response, Vedanta Patel said, “We are in regular contact with our colleagues in the Congress (US Parliament). I am not talking about any specific letter or communication. But that’s all I want to say, Dr. We welcome Muhammad Yunus’ call for an end to the recent violence.

We also welcome the new government’s emphasis on restoring security in the country and protecting the people of minority communities.
