Today is the first session of the Parliament after the formation of the new government in India

The first session of the Lok Sabha after the formation of the new government in India begins today on Monday. Parliamentarians including Prime Minister Narendra Modi are going to take oath on this day. This information was published in a report by NDTV on Monday (June 24).

According to the report, the session of the new parliament is starting in India from Monday. Basically it is going to be a special session of the Parliament where the members who won the Lok Sabha elections will take oath in Parliament as MPs. President Draupadi Murmu will address the two houses of Parliament in this session. However, it is feared that there may be a conflict between the India Alliance and the NDA on the first day itself. Because the opposition has already started criticizing the Modi government over the election of protem speaker.

The report also said that Lok Sabha Secretary General Utpal Kumar Singh will present the list of all elected members of parliament after the first day of silence. The swearing-in will begin from 11 am on Monday. Prime Minister Modi will take oath first. He will be announced as the party leader of the Lok Sabha by the Protem Speaker. Then the names of the parliamentarians will be called according to the initials of the names of the different states.

It is to be noted that the President has recommended the names of Congress’ Suresh, DMK’s TR Balu, BJP’s Radhamohan Singh, Phagan Singh Kulaste and Trinamool Congress’s Sudeep Banerjee as Assistant Protem Speaker. But in this case the responsibility of Protem Speaker is usually given to the most experienced MP of the Lok Sabha.

After the swearing in of the chairpersons, the pro tem speaker will administer the swearing in of the ministers.

After that, the Lok Sabha Speaker election will be held on June 26. After that, the President will address the joint session of the two chambers of Parliament on June 27. Discussions will begin from June 28 on the President’s speech of thanks.

Prime Minister Modi may address the Parliament on July 2 or 3. The session will then be adjourned. The session may start again from July 22 to present the budget.
