UK expatriate businessmen have called on Bangladesh Investment Development Authority-BIDA to secure and ensure expatriate investment in the country. UK BCCI Chairman Iqbal Ahmed and President MG Moula Mia met BIDA Executive Chairman Lokman Hossain Mia in the capital this morning. Many of the Bangladeshi businessmen in the UK have invested in the country so far and are interested in investing in the garment, food, electricity and telecommunication sectors in the future as well, they said. BIDA Chairman requested expatriate investors to invest in the country with 100% confidence. The leaders of this top organization of Bangladeshi businessmen living in the United Kingdom highlighted their various plans. They also praised Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s steps to encourage expatriate investors.
