Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut has been slapped by a security guard at the airport two days after winning the first Lok Sabha election in India. He opened his mouth after the unexpected incident at Chandigarh airport on Thursday. He described the incident as a sign of growing terrorism in Punjab.
According to the NDTV report, a woman member of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) named Kulwinder Kaur raised her hands on Kangana at the Chandigarh airport on Thursday (June 6). The video of the incident went viral on social media.
Kulbinder Kaur’s house is in Kapurthala, Punjab. He was fired immediately after the incident and a case was filed against him.
Kangana did not take too long to respond to the incident. He posted a video on X. He said, ‘I am safe. This happened during security checking. There the woman was waiting till I finished my work, when I would pass in front of her. Suddenly he slapped my cheek from the side and started abusing me. When I asked him, why did he do this? He then brought up the farmers’ movement.
Kangana also said, I am worried about the growing terrorism in Punjab. How do we handle them?
In 2021, farmers held massive protests against the Modi government in various places including Delhi. Farmers from Punjab staged a dharna in Delhi for about a month. At that time, Kangana Ranaut tweeted one attack after another against the protesting farmers. He criticized the farmers sometimes as ‘Khalistani’ and sometimes as ‘terrorists’. Even after Narendra Modi announced the withdrawal of three controversial agriculture bills, Kangana attacked farmers as ‘jihadis’.

Due to these reasons, a section of the Sikh community was angry with Kangana. There was also a case against him. After that, the farmers protested by surrounding Kangana’s car when she went to Punjab. Due to that incident, it is initially known that this BJP leader slapped the security guard at the airport.
After slapping Kangana, the woman jawan openly stated the reason. Why did this incident? To such a question, he said, “Kangana said, ‘Farmers are sitting there for 100 rupees.'” Did she go and sit there? My mother was sitting there. Mother’s insult was not tolerated.

Kangana Ranaut won as the BJP candidate from the Mandi seat in Himachal Pradesh in this year’s Lok Sabha elections. He defeated former Chief Minister Birbhadra Singh’s son Vikramaditya Singh and outgoing MP Pratibha Singh.
