“We two (two countries) are Aryan Brothers (iron bond), our friendship is unbreakable and our hearts beat together,” Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said in an interview with Chinese media in Islamabad ahead of his visit to Beijing.
He said that the friendship between Pakistan and China is unbreakable and the two countries travel on the same course through storms and China always lends a helping hand to Pakistan in times of greatest need. Pakistan considers China as its most trusted friend.
China’s state news agency Xinhua reported that Shahbaz Sharif will visit China officially from June 4 to 8 at the invitation of Prime Minister Li Qiang.
It is in this context that Shahbaz said that Pakistan strongly adheres to the ‘one-China policy’. The Government of Pakistan has always supported this policy and will continue to do so in the future. The entire Pakistani people strongly believe in the Chinese policy.
Shahbaz, recalling his first visit to China more than 40 years ago, said at that time he believed that China had great potential for the future. At that time China’s development speed was not high. But even then, the country was taking firm steps forward in the development of modern science and technology, besides ensuring the basic needs of the people.
The Pakistani Prime Minister said that China today has developed into a ‘giant’ and has proved to the world that it is possible to achieve world-renowned development under the leadership of visionary leaders and the unrelenting efforts of the people.
