5 killed in infiltration attempt into Pakistan

Five ‘terrorists’ have been killed in firing by security forces while infiltrating into Pakistan’s Balochistan’s Jhab district by crossing the border. The country’s army’s media wing gave this information in a statement on Sunday. Dawn reported.
The country’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that a group of ‘terrorists’ tried to cross the Pak-Afghan border in the Sambaja area of Jhab early Sunday morning. Their infiltration attempt was foiled by security forces. Five ‘Khwarizmi’ were sent to hell in the clash.
Dawn says that the statement refers to members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan have become tense recently due to frequent border clashes. In this regard, Islamabad has repeatedly called on the Kabul government to take action against the TTP for using Afghan soil to launch attacks in Pakistan. Kabul, however, has denied the allegations.
The banned group has increased its attacks on security forces and other law enforcement officials since breaking a ceasefire agreement with the Pakistani government in 2022.
