'Give it to hang'

The accused has admitted to raping and killing a female doctor after entering the RG Kar Hospital in West Bengal, India. That is what the investigators said. However, even though he confessed to the crime, the investigators said that he has no guilt about it.

A section of the investigators claimed that the accused had no remorse. Rather, during the interrogation, the accused said, “Give me the hanging.”

According to the police, the youth arrested in the RG tax case is a civic volunteer by profession. He was arrested on Friday night after seeing hospital CCTV footage. Police arrested him on Saturday morning after questioning.

It is known that the accused was seen entering the hospital on Friday morning. He was inside for 30 to 35 minutes. Investigators believe that being a civic volunteer, he had no problem getting in or out of the hospital.

According to the sources of the investigators, the accused youth once entered the hospital around 11 pm on Thursday. After that he went out and drank alcohol. Later, he entered the hospital again in a drunken state around 4 am. A Bluetooth headphone was seen around his neck upon entry, but not upon exit. Later, the torn part of the headphone was recovered from the scene. Police arrested him on the basis of the headphones and CCTV footage.

According to the sources of the investigators, the mobile phone of the arrested youth had many pornographic videos. According to preliminary investigation, the accused youth has mental disorder problem. The matter is being investigated.

Investigators said that even after the arrest, the accused did not express any remorse for his actions. Rather, his mood is still high.

Meanwhile, the body of the woman doctor was recovered from the fourth floor seminar hall of the emergency department of RG Kar Hospital on Friday. Initial post-mortem report revealed that blood was oozing from both his eyes. There were injury marks in various parts of the body including hands, fingers, legs, stomach. Investigators initially believe that he was brutally tortured before the crime.

Meanwhile, protests have started for junior doctors in government hospitals in various areas of West Bengal. There is only one demand everywhere – “I want justice”. In such a context, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee spoke about the maximum punishment for the accused.

The chief minister said that the protestors’ anger is consistent. He agrees with them.

The Chief Minister also said that if anyone does not trust the state police in this incident, they can ask any agency to investigate it. The state government has no objection. Because the government has nothing to hide.

Meanwhile, the accused was produced in the court on Saturday. The judge ordered to keep him in police custody for 14 days.
