White House explained Sheikh Hasina's complaint to the US for the fall of the government

The Awami League government fell in the 23-day country-shaking movement of the students. In the face of the students’ uprising, on August 5, President Md. Sheikh Hasina submitted her resignation from the post of Prime Minister to Sahabuddin. After that he left the country by helicopter from Ganabhaban. His sister Sheikh Rehana was with him at that time. Currently he is in India.

Sheikh Hasina broke the silence about seven days after leaving the country. He blamed the US for the fall of the government. This information has emerged in a report of the Indian media The Print. The United States explained in his speech.

The news of US role in ousting Sheikh Hasina is not correct. Press Secretary Karin Jean-Pierre said this at the White House’s regular press briefing on Monday (August 12) local time.

He also said that the United States has no role in ousting Sheikh Hasina. Any such claims are rumors and lies. Any allegation of US involvement in this incident is completely false. It has been decided by the people of Bangladesh. And we believe that the common people of Bangladesh will decide the future of the country’s government.

Sheikh Hasina left Bangladesh in the face of massive mass movement on August 5. On that day, Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman said that she had resigned from the post of Prime Minister before leaving the country, although Awami League president’s son Sajib Wazed Joy claimed that his mother did not resign.

Sheikh Hasina said on Sunday, “I have resigned so that I don’t have to see the procession of dead bodies.” They wanted to come to power with the bodies of the students, but I did not allow it, resigned from the post of Prime Minister. I could have remained in power if I had surrendered the sovereignty of the island of St. Martin and allowed America to dominate the Bay of Bengal. I appeal to the people of my country, ‘Please don’t be fooled by the fundamentalists’.

He further said, ‘If I had stayed in the country, more lives would have been lost, more property would have been destroyed. I made the very difficult decision to leave. I have become your leader. Because you have chosen me, you have been my strength’.

Accepting the defeat, Sheikh Hasina said to the supporters and party workers that she is committed to return to the country.

Accepting the defeat, he said, I will come back soon, God willing. Defeat is mine, but victory is the people of Bangladesh.

Sheikh Hasina said, I removed myself, I brought your victory, you are my strength, you did not want me, I myself then left, resigned. Those who are my workers, do not lose heart. Awami League has repeatedly stood up.

The former prime minister also alleged that his words were distorted.

He said, “I want to repeat to my young students — I never called you Razakars… My words were twisted.” A group took advantage of my danger.

Meanwhile, her son Sajib Wazed Joy has been speaking to various international media since his mother’s departure. He spoke about the report of The Print on Sunday. Joy wrote on her Verified X (formerly Twitter) account at 11:55 pm, “A statement about my mother’s resignation has been published in a newspaper, which is completely false and fabricated. I confirmed by talking to her (Sheikh Hasina) a little while ago. He has not given any statement before leaving Dhaka or after leaving Dhaka.
