Pakistan expressed condolences over the loss of life in Bangladesh floods

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his condolences to the flood-hit people of Bangladesh. In the last few days, 12 districts have been flooded in the country due to flash floods. Hundreds of thousands of people have become waterlogged in these districts. The people of the affected area have been cut off from communication.

The situation has deteriorated more in Feni, Comilla, Chittagong, Khagrachari, Noakhali, Moulvibazar, Habiganj and Sylhet. More than 5 million people are in extreme humanitarian crisis.
So far the death toll in the flood has reached 13.

Shehbaz Sharif wrote on social media X account on Friday, “Deeply concerned about the loss of life and destruction caused by floods in Bangladesh. I offer my deepest condolences to the people of Bangladesh and the families of the victims.

Shehbaz also wrote that Bangladesh will turn around quickly after overcoming the ongoing crisis, “Pakistan has expressed solidarity with Bangladesh at the moment of this tragedy.” I am confident that the tolerant people of Bangladesh will overcome this difficult time with their characteristic perseverance and determination.

It should be noted that after the political change, the chief advisor expressed interest in developing new relations with Bangladesh. Shehbaz Sharif wrote a letter to Muhammad Yunus. In the letter, he urged to improve the relations between the two countries.
