Meanwhile, junior doctors said, if the government can do live streaming of the administrative meeting, then why not this meeting? Doctors have been clamoring for live streaming since the beginning.

Junior doctors claim, they have said since the beginning – they are fighting for justice. Later senior doctors joined them. Then the public joined in. As a result, they have said the same thing since the beginning. They did not budge from their demands. They never said they would go to the meeting if they kept the record.

According to them, if the police investigation had gone in the right direction from the beginning, they would not have been on the streets like this. Earlier there was live streaming of such events on NRS. This was the same Chief Minister. So why not now?

But State Chief Secretary Manoj Pant and DG Police Rajeev Kumar informed that there is no live streaming of any formal meeting. Video will be uploaded. Documentation will.

The Chief Secretary also said that the Chief Minister is waiting for the discussion from 5 pm. It’s been an hour and a half. There is a limit.

The fact is that live streaming of the Chief Minister with doctors is not an unprecedented event. In the past, Chief Ministers have held two-hour meetings with junior doctors. The meeting was also streamed live.

According to the Chief Secretary, live streaming is not important, the real thing is the discussion. Our two sides have the same goal. We have taken some measures. We seek recommendations from junior doctors. Then we can transform them.

Supreme Court and High Court lawyer Arindam Das told Deutsche Welle that the Chief Minister said live streaming of the meeting was not possible following the Supreme Court’s order. But the Supreme Court has not given any such order. There were no interruptions to live streaming. The hearing of the case in the court is live streaming.

What happened in front of Navanna?

The West Bengal government informed that the meeting will be held at 5 o’clock. 34 representatives of junior doctors arrived in front of Navanna by bus shortly after 5 Bazar.

They are told that everyone has to sign to enter Navanna. It takes ten minutes to sign. Then the junior doctors want to know, will the meeting be live streaming? Then the police and administration informed that there will be no live streaming. Police DG, chief secretary one by one officers came to the junior doctors, spoke to them. They repeatedly say, come to the discussion.

But the junior doctors are adamant in their demand, they won’t hold the meeting without live streaming. They want to know, why not live streaming?

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee went to her office from Nabanna meeting room at around 6:55 and spoke to reporters. In this regard, he said, junior doctors have received instructions from outside, not to go into discussion.

He said, I have pardoned the junior doctors. I have been waiting for three days, two hours today. I have to follow certain procedures on pending matters. If someone criticizes the CBI here, wouldn’t we be responsible?

Mamata said, 27 people died. Seven lakh people did not get services. 1500 serious patients are waiting for 32 days. Do not light a candle for those who died without treatment!

Chief Minister said, I apologize. People will forgive me. I have been insulted and humiliated a lot. Malicious propaganda has been done. They don’t want justice, they want chairs. I don’t want a chair. I want Tilottama to be judged.

Doctors’ statement

Meanwhile, the junior doctors later said that he wanted to keep silent. We have observed silence many times. I have been lying on the road for 34 days. I will stay for 35 or 36 days if needed.

According to them, we have asked for clarity. We didn’t want a chair. We are not here to do politics. The victim’s parents said, you see for us. We came to discuss five demands. Not only us, common people are complaining against government officers.

They said, we are hoping, waiting, waiting more.

Doctor Subarna Goswami said that the argument given, we think is absurd. Supreme Court judgment has nothing to do with live streaming. This was done to show the Supreme Court. What did the chief minister say when asked about the gap in the investigation? That’s why live streaming was not done.
