4 days meeting in India about Bangladesh, the issues that will be important

Top commanders of the Indian Navy are holding a four-day meeting from Tuesday to review the security situation amid growing instability in South Asia. The change of regime in Bangladesh and the overall security of the region will also be important in the meeting.

Apart from this, China’s increasing activity and military assistance to Pakistan will also be discussed, ANI quoted Indian defense officials as saying.

According to an NDTV report, the four-day meeting will be held from September 17 at the new naval headquarters in New Delhi. This is going to be the first conference after Admiral Dinesh Tripathi took charge as the Chief of Naval Staff in April this year.

Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh urged the defense forces to be prepared for unexpected situations at the Joint Commanders’ Conference in Lucknow. A few days later the meeting was announced. NDTV said that the issue of creating a new theater command will also be taken up for discussion in the meeting.

Noting that the Indian Navy has achieved several successes against pirates and drone attacks earlier this year, the report said, the meeting will also review the Navy’s operations in the Gulf of Aden. Basically the Indian Army holds its Commander’s Conference twice a year, where all senior officers present their information.
