Advisor Nahid in Time magazine’s list of 100 most influential people in the world
Age is less than 26 years. However, his role in bringing down one of the most powerful people in the world at this age is undeniable. This graduate of the Department of Sociology is one of the faces of the nationwide student movement against the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina. He is one of many protest leaders. He became widely known after being persecuted by the notorious intelligence agencies of the country.
This is how Time Magazine has described Nahid Islam on its website. Every year, this famous American magazine based in New York publishes the list of 100 influential people in the world. Nahid Islam, the ninth coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement and the advisor of the government’s Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has made a place in that list.
After the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government. The interim government took over under the leadership of Yunus. Nahid has become an advisor to two ministries of this government.
