Trudeau's bravado sinks India-Canada ties: New Delhi

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has accepted much of what India has been saying about the killing of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar. India retaliated against Canada over Justin Trudeau’s words. New Delhi has made it clear that India and Canada’s bilateral relations are at rock bottom due to his arrogant behaviour.

This was said in a statement issued by the Indian Foreign Minister on Wednesday night.

In the statement, Trudeau accepted what New Delhi has been saying for so long. Trudeau is solely responsible for the damage done to the relationship between India and Canada due to this pretentious use.

Canada’s prime minister on Wednesday admitted he had no evidence when he raised allegations of India’s involvement in the killing of Khalistani militant Hardeep Singh Nijjar last year. The whole thing was leaked by intelligence sources. Could not provide any evidence to India.

Indian Foreign Minister’s spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in the statement, “What we heard today is what we have been saying continuously for so long.” We have not been able to provide even a shred of evidence in support of the serious allegations made by Canada against India and Indian diplomats.

Trudeau, however, put all the blame on India ahead of the vote in Canada. Trudeau, appearing before the committee set up to complain about foreign interference in Canada, claimed that there was a clearer indication that India had violated his country’s sovereignty. Canada got a clear indication of that intervention after the killing of Khalistani militant Nijjar on June 18 last year. Trudeau claims that the picture has become clearer.
