Colombo, August 12 (Daily Mirror) – President Anura Kumara Dissanayake today (12) held separate meetings with the Canadian and Malaysian High Commissioners at the Presidential Secretariat.

In his meeting with Canadian High Commissioner Eric Walsh, who is concluding his term in Sri Lanka, the President extended his best wishes and acknowledged Canada’s significant Sri Lankan diaspora.

He expressed appreciation for Canada’s assistance during the recent economic crisis and its support for human rights and reconciliation efforts, hoping for continued collaboration.

Later, the President met Malaysian High Commissioner Badli Hisham bin Adam, where both sides discussed enhancing ties between the two nations.

The Malaysian envoy conveyed his country’s willingness to share its recent achievements and expertise with Sri Lanka, particularly in tourism, trade, and education.
